Abstract

In the title molecule, C14H14O4S, the dihedral angle between the mean planes of the 4-tolyl and 4-methoxyphenyl rings is 7.2 (1)°. There are weak intermolecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds which generate rings of motifs R21(6), R2 1(9) and R12(4). There are also C-H⋯π interactions which stack the molecules in layers in the crystal lattice.
