Abstract

A cross-section potential is used to investigate the pressure dependence of vertical phases of Langmuir monolayers. An isobaric-isothermal ensemble is stimulated using Monte-Carlo techniques. The results reproduce a nearly vertical phase boundary between high pressure phases of fatty acid monolayers.
