Abstract

With the recent advances of telecommunications, e-Commerce has evolved into m-Commerce taking advantages of the mobility obtained by these technologies. Quality of Service (QoS) guarantee has grown to be a necessity for m-Commerce applications due to the explosive growth of mobile content transactions and wireless communications merging towards IP networks. The ubiquity of these content transactions is subject to the provided QoS parameters of emerging wireless technologies. This paper underscores the QoS requirements of these m- Commerce applications and to what extent new wireless technologies meet these requirements. In addition, it proposes a framework for QoS-aware m- Commerce which facilitates service aggregation, dynamic pricing, and Internet accounting.
