Abstract

The development of electrically-conductive fibres since the 1950s is traced. Three main trends are identified: a) the preparation of a polypyrrole layer on the fibre surface; b) the metallization of the fibre surface; and c) the chemical treatment of the fibre surface. There are 32 references.
