Abstract
Pressure induced reactions and nonequilibrium phenomena were analyzed. These phenomena are not limited to chemically reactive sustems. Mechanical interaction with phase transformations could play a similar role as mechano-chemical reactions. The use of metal powders increase the rate of reactions. A modified Fokker-Planck equation has been derived to describe the non-equilibrium state. Since the particles interact with a background medium only particle number density is conserved, but momentum and energy changes and eventually equilibrium with the background.
