Abstract
The magnetic reversal behavior of Ni 80Fe 80 bars was investigated, using microcantilever torque magnetometry, magnetic force microscopy and micromagnetic simulations. The single and paired 300 nm×1. 5 μm×32 nm Ni 80Fe 80 bars were prepared on a microcantilever using focused ion beam milling. The magnetostatic interactions were found to influence the magnetic switching behavior of the paired bar. It was observed that the magnetic hysteresis curve of the paired bars were consisted of a series of a stable switching states.
