title = "ADCP Water Velocity Measurements in a Hydropower Tailwater Impoundment: A Case Study",
abstract = "An acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) was used to characterize water velocities and flow patterns in a hydropower tailwater impoundment. Operation of ADCP was simple, quick, portable, and reliable. Discharge estimates given by the ADCP proved very useful in verifying the operation of the ADCP velocity measurements. ADCP data was used to characterize circulation patterns in the lake and to predict concentrations of dissolved oxygen under various remedial and operational scenarios.",
