Abstract
During the MEaPRS field campaign on 5 June 1998, the NOAA P-3 aircraft sampled a mature stage Mesoscale Convective System (MCS) that consisted of two convective bands, one oriented SW-NE over an E-W frontal boundary and the other oriented N-S extending from the front southward. Broad regions of stratiform rain trailed the convective bands. Finally, the data obtained were analyzed.
