Abstract
An outbreak of nosocomial urinary tract infections caused by aminoglycoside-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa is described. Resistant infection was associated with longer hospital stay, and more frequent corticosteroid and prior antibiotic administration than control patients. Measures which effectively controlled the outbreak are discussed.
