Abstract

A new sufficient condition for uniqueness is applied to the tubular reactor problem. The resulting criterion is compared to existing criteria. Better a‐priori estimates of the temperature solution were used to improve estimates on upper bounds for uniqueness. It is shown that these a‐priori estimates bear the primary responsibility for the better results.
