Based on a true story: Using movies as source material for general chemistry reports

Abstract

Movies comprise a significant approach to improve student enthusiasm for writing in general chemistry reports. Generally, movies provide human interest angle that is lacking from news reports. As shown by two movie samples, movies in the chemical classroom helps instructors to move chemistry subject from abstract, general themes to personal and subjective type of human interactions.
