Abstract
Biological pathway analysis provides a convenient way to reduce the complexity and dimensionality of cellular circuits, and it has a wide range of biological and biomedical applications. In this article we focus on network-based approaches to analyze biological pathways, introduce some of the algorithms that have been proposed to compare and align biological pathways, and briefly discuss applications in the context of GWAS.
