Abstract

Breast cancer will be diagnosed in one in eight women in the Unites States, making breast cancer the most common cancer in women. The greater likelihood of preclinical detection of the disease, coupled with the emergence of effective treatment regimens, has resulted in declining mortality and a cure rate of over 90% for the majority of women with early disease [1, 2].
