Clinical Statistics at the Urological Department of Kyushu University Hospital from 1992-1994

Abstract

Clinical statistics at our department from 1992-1994 revealed the following results:1) The number of outpatients and operations were 6,178 and 658, respectively. 2) The seven main disease categories for outpatients were hematuria (16.5%) urological begin tumors (14.5%), inflammatory disease (12.1%) neurogenic bladder (10.3%), Urolithiasis (8.1%) and urological malignant tumors (7.5%). 3) As for inpatients, the tumors (12.0%), inflammatory disease (3.9) and urogenital anomalies (2.7%) 4) 658 operations tumors performed excluding re operations. The main operation categories of open surgery (255 cases) were radical nephrectomy (48 cases), orchiectomy (33 cases) adrenalectomy (20 cases), and radical cystectomy (16 cases), while those of endourologic surgery (277 cases) were TUR Bt (92 cases) and TU Biopsy (44 cases). ESWL was carried out 126 cases.
