Abstract

In summary, the insightful discussions lead us to a substantially improved solution for J2 in Eq. (1). This algorithm is quick, accurate, efficient, and convergent. The other methods proposed in the discussions are also quite good although some deficiencies are observed. For instance, the method of Abad and Garcia can lead to substanial errors when E<0.01 or δb <0.01. The method of Srivastava is also prone to large errors aound z=2.6. Software and algorithms can be downloaded and shared at the writers' Websites. In view of such excellent discussions of this article. H. A. Einstein would certainly appreciate the renewed interest in the use of his method.
