Abstract

In this paper the computer simulation for the determination of the tool shape for the ECM process is presented. The mathematical model used is based on the description of the conjugate fields of the electrolyte flow velocity, the static pressure, the temperature, the concentration of the gas and the current density distribution on the surface of the electrode. Also, design of the tool electrode for axially symmetric workpiece using the aforementioned computer program is reported and the experimental verification of a computer designed tool is discussed.
