Abstract
The stability of 7 drugs (alimemazine, amitriptyline, chlorpromazine, cyamemazine, heptaminol, periciazine and sodium valproate) in unit dose solution packaged in ambercoloured glass vial was studied using different concentrations, both at 4 °C and 30 °C, along 28 days. The solution was obtained from the dilution of commercially available oral solution. The determinations were carried out by high performance liquid chromatography using an UV spectrophotometric detection. The loss was always inferior to 5% for chlorpromazine and cyamemazine solutions. A loss superior to 10% was detected in the case of heptaminol, periciazine and sodium valproate.
