Abstract

The authors regret mislabelling the reference group for the payor variable in Fig. 2, Fig. 2 legend, and Table A3 legend in the original article, all of which appear corrected below. The authors would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused. [Figure presented] [Table presented] Adjusted odds ratios and parameter estimates are calculated using multiple logistic regression, N = 603,730. Abbreviations: AOR, adjusted odds ratio; CI, confidence interval; DF, degrees of freedom; LOS, length of stay; SE, standard error. Age (decades) is scaled based on decade of life. Elixhauser, reduced is an unweighted cumulative Elixhauser score excluding the separately reported alcohol use disorder, drug use disorder, psychotic disorder, and depression variables. Race, black defined as black versus the referent white. Race, other defined as all other races except black versus the referent white. Payor presented as all others versus the referent Medicaid, charity, or self-pay.
