Abstract

A review of the literature published in 2011 including 70 papers on topics ranging from analytical methods, to occurrence and environmental fate of emerging contaminants in agricultural environments is presented. This review is divided into the following sections: Introduction, Analytical Methods for Emerging Contaminants, Passive Samplers and Screening Methods, Steroids in Agricultural Environments, Veterinary Pharmaceuticals in Agricultural Environments, Antibiotic Resistance Genes, and Prions as Emerging Contaminants.
