Development of cell-based biosensors

Abstract

Researchers are studying way to measure the effects of particulate matter and other inhalation hazards on human health. The research employs laboratory cultures of lung cells isolated from rats. Suspected hazardous materials are introduced to the cells in a controlled manner and the response of the cells is monitored.
