Abstract

Infusion of dopamine and furosemide may decrease neither the incidence of post-transplant oliguric acute tubular necrosis (ATN) nor its conversion to nonoliguric ATN. On the other hand, dopamine and furosemide infusion may predispose non-ATN patients to cardiac arrhythmias and fluid/electrolyte disturbances.
