Abstract
Bone marrow transplantation can be curative for patients with advanced Hodgkin's disease. Results are better when patients are transplanted after only one chemotherapy regimen at a time of minimal disease. Clinical trials are beginning testing bone marrow transplantation as part of the initial treatment for patients with widely disseminated, poor prognosis Hodgkin's disease.
