Abstract

In their editorial of this special issue of IJA, Les Carlson and Barbie Clarke discuss the topic of advertising to children, comparing the current research with findings from 2005, also published in IJA. These include children's understanding of traditional and newer advertising formats and the effect of advertising 'unhealthy' foods on eating habits, as well as parents perspectives of advertising targeting children.
