Abstract

Milk is a nutrient-dense, inexpensive food that improves the overall nutritional quality of the diet. Consumption of cow's milk is actually associated with numerous health benefits including reduced risk for osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, some cancers, stroke and kidney stones, as well as better weight control and less risk of type 2 diabetes.
