Abstract

The effect of a uniform electric field on the bulk and interfacial properties of a model dipolar fluid was analyzed. The properties of a sphere-shaped dielectric system in an electric field were investigated. The interfacial profiles of the orientation order parameters and components of the dielectric-permittivity tensor were calculated for planar vapor-liquid interfaces. Results for the density and dielectric-permittivity profiles as well as their field dependence were presented.
