title = "Effect of sampling patterns and interpolation methods on prediction quality of soil variability mapping",
abstract = "Precision agriculture technologies have benefited from a number of remote and proximal sensing mapping practices. However, systematic (grid) sampling of soil still remains the most popular method to address spatial heterogeneity for an array of soil chemical properties. Because of economic constraints, the density of grid sampling has been limited. To increase the information value of the data obtained, at an affordable cost, different sampling and data interpolation strategies have been used. This paper examines several point-based and composite sampling methods implemented using square grids by combining multiple soil cores using a semi-automatic soil sampling systems.",
