Exact field solution for diffraction limited laser pulses

Abstract

The electromagnetic fields reflected from on- and off-axis parabolas are derived exactly for arbitrary F/#. Solutions are presented for Gaussian and super-Gaussian incident beams and compared to the standard TEM00 mode.
