Abstract
Children with developmental disabilities are at an increased risk of developing severe and persistent feeding difficulties. Without treatment, severe feeding difficulties can place children at risk for a number of negative health consequences (e.g. dehydration, malnutrition, and long-term behavioral and cognitive consequences). The current chapter provides an overview of the prevalence, etiology, and treatment of pediatric feeding disorders among children with developmental disabilities.
