Abstract

In this paper, the atomic composition distinguishes L1o magnets from 3d-based permanent magnets, such as alnico and barium ferrite, and from rare-earth transition-metal intermetallics, where the 4f and 3d elements realize specific tasks. The zero-temperature properties of L1o-type layered structures are reasonably well understood.
