Abstract
The manifestations of allergic disease can be protean. For this reason, allergy and the related secondary effects of allergy-mediated disease can be responsible for significant head pain of many types. Awareness of the causes of this pain and the appropriate evaluation and treatment are crucial to avoiding delays in therapy or inappropriate therapeutic measures. The many other deleterious effects of allergic nasal obstruction, including developmental anomalies and systemic complications, are also discussed.
