Abstract
Healthcare for vocal performing artists requires multidisciplinary care. Knowledge gaps remain for clinicians who are not familiar with the specific needs of vocalists. Data suggest that an initial diagnosis for a voice disorder often changes when patients seek care and a specialty clinic. We review the concepts of team-based care for vocalists and discuss triage strategies for symptoms. We also review common diagnoses and treatment options and suggest high yield resources for additional reading.
