Abstract

Multilayered films of FePt:Fe1-xPtx(x approx. 0.3), Pr2Co7:Co and SmCox:Co (x = 3.3, 4, and 5) were produced by means of plasma sputtering with a multiple-gun DC- and RF- sputtering system by deposition onto glass or silicon substrates at room temperature. The crystallization structure of the films was studied by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) including electron diffraction and X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy. Magnetization loops were measured by an alternating gradient force magnetometer (AGFM) and a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer.
