Abstract
Only 10% of the companies are known to execute strategy successfully. In an attempt to overcome this reality, Kaplan and Norton [1] developed and refined a tool to describe, manage and implement strategy called the Balanced Scorecard [2]. Other methodologies like Six Sigma are also being embraced by organizations to improve the strategy execution. Of the top 500 public companies in the United States, 53 percent have deployed Six Sigma to some degree. Failure in strategy execution continues to be a concern among organizations. This paper provides step by step guidelines to integrate Six Sigma with the Balance Scorecard (BSC).
