Abstract

The magnetic surface anisotropy constants KS of amorphous FexB100-x was determined by performing ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) measurements on ultrathin films and adapting a recent FMR theory to amorphous materials. For a given Fe content x the same value of KS is obtained at two frequencies and two FMR configurations.
