abstract = "Thin soft surface of strips with ledge edges are used to reduce the strip period width and in turns a miniaturized structure is achieved. Numerical analyses are presented. A 20% relative bandwidth is achieved whereas a 10% bandwidth was achieved by using the conventional planar soft surface structure. The effect of via position was also studied in the proposed structure.",
