N1 - Funding Information: Collaborations with governmental organizations, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations have proven successful in promoting solutions that meet the ROP healthcare needs of various communities. The Global Education Network for ROP (GEN-ROP) has been a leader in ROP education innovation and has collaborated with many nongovernmental organizations such as Orbis International, Helen Keller International, and the Aravind Eye Hospital System with financial support from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Child Blindness Program to develop digital image-based ROP screening programs in Mongolia and Nepal. The KIDROP telemedicine program and ROPE-SOS are two other projects in India that, through efforts focused on addressing the lack of ROP specialists, has been able to undergo substantial expansion throughout the state with support from the federal and state governments.
