Platelet activation by antihuman thymocyte globulin

Abstract

Clinical horse and rabbit antithymocyte globulin preparations have significant platelet activating activity which can be adequately monitored by routine platelet aggregation tests. The major mechanism of this activity is adenosine diphosphate release by the platelets.
