Abstract

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common childhood disorder, occurring in approximately 8% of children. A comprehensive treatment plan, addressing psychosocial, psychoeducational, academic, and pharmacologic aspects, is imperative in the treatment of ADHD. This article focuses on practical approaches for the use of pharmacotherapy in the treatment of ADHD.
