Abstract

IMPLICATIONS: Mivacurium 15 μg/kg has been advocated as a test dose to predict unusual sensitivity to mivacurium. We present a case in which 14 μg/kg mivacurium induced complete paralysis for nearly 5 h. We conclude that test doses of ≥14 μg/kg mivacurium can produce unanticipated prolonged paralysis.
