Quantifying the security of a QKD protocol

Abstract

In this paper we develop the concept of quantifying the security of a quantum cryptographic scheme. We focus on BB84 and develop a model for measuring the security offered by protocols that follow a similar model. We also present a new model for entropy of detection assuming a binomial probability distribution.
