Abstract

A fluoride chemosensor (FCS-1) based on 1,8-naphthalimide bearing a trimethylsilyl ether has been designed and synthesized. FCS-1 displayed high selectivity and sensitivity to fluoride in inorganic forms (KF and NaF) with a short response time in MeCN-H2O media.
