Abstract
Results of investigations on reaction kinetics of vinyl-ethyl ether cycloaddition to acrolein, leading to the formation of 2-ethoxy-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrane, have been presented. It has been found a good applicability of the system to the kinetic equation of the second-order reversible reaction, and of the first-order towards any of reactants. The values of the observed constant reaction rates for a wide range of conversion degrees have been determined. The problem of post-reaction mixtures separation and selection of reaction system for industrial process implementation has been discussed.
