Abstract
The results of the authors' work on the application of reflectance spectroscopy for diagnostics of the physiological state of plants and plant injury are summarized. The problems of nondestructive measurement of chlorophyll content and following the course of autumnal leaf senescence, ripening of fruits, tissue browning, chlorophyll pheophytinization, and photodestructive events in situ are discussed.
