Revised formula of pion interferometry

Abstract

A formula for the two-pion correlation function is derived for a chaotic source when the emission spectrum from each space-time point is known It is shown that without fully understanding the evolution process of the source, no realistic source size can be obtained. The differences among different formulas of pion interferometry are also given.
