Sternberg Museum of Natural History, Fort Hays State University (FHSM 17466). New county record (Ballinger et al. 2010. Amphibians and Reptiles of Nebraska. The nearest published record is from ca 24 km to the northwest in Rock County (31 mi S of Bassett; University of Nebraska State Museum [UNSM] ZM-9556). We collected an adult individual dead on NE Hwy 96 located between the Calamus River and some rolling hills of sand covered by mostly native grasses and forbs. This specimen was collected under a Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Scientific and Educational Permit No. 617 issued to KG. We thank T. E. Labedz for compiling herpetological records housed at the University of Nebraska State Museum. Funding for research in the area was provided by the University of Nebraska Collaboration Initiative and supported by Nebraska EPSCoR.",
