Abstract
Binaphthylene-thiophene copolymer where the oligothiophene covalently bonded to 2,2′ - site of 1,1′-binaphthylene has been prepared by Negishi coupling between 2,2′-bis(2-thiophene)-1,1′-binaphthlene and 2,2′-bis(5-bromo-2-thiophene)-l,l′-binaphthlene, and characterized by NMR, IR spectra. The molecular weight is estimated by the integration of 1H-NMR. The conductivity is measured as 3 × 10-5 S/cm based on chemically doping with NOPF6 (doped ratio 1:1) and 2.2 × 10-5 S/cm based on electrochemical doping, respectively.
