We have studied the electrical resistance of a number of binary amorphous transition-metal (e.g. FeTi) solids made by sputtering. By varying the composition, the temperature dependence changes systematically, allowing various contributions to be elucidated. For the non-magnetic samples, the data can be quantitatively described by aT - b ℓn(T2 + B2). For the magnetic samples, it is necessary to include a Kondo term, which is not responsible for minima at high temperatures.
