Abstract
The recognition of the eating disorders of anorexia and bulimia is increasing in practice and with the public. An overview of anorexia nervosa and bulimia is presented. Nursing management of four priority nursing diagnoses is explored to assist the female adolescent during the treatment course. A multidisciplinary team approach is necessary for a successful outcome.
