Abstract
Numerous reports in the literature deal with the use of human cryopreserved spermatozoa for therapeutic donor insemination. Since 1953, over 2,000 births have been reported following the utilization of cryopreserved human spermatozoa. The percentages of spontaneous abortions and congenital anomalies were approximately 12% and 1%, respectively; these frequencies are lower than those reported for the general population.
