Abstract
For the last several decades, it has been evident that sex affects the immune system and its responses. The high incidence of several autoimmune diseases in women of child-bearing age is particularly well-appreciated (1), and emerging evidence demonstrates how biological sex impacts COVID-19 outcomes (2).
